5. Sample Research Questions
How many patient have a diabetes code of interest and do not have a COPD diagnosis code of interest by 10 year age groups and race?
Count of patients AGE (calculated as of the date of request submission) with an ICD-9-CM DIAGNOSIS OF DIABETES, but not an ICD-9-CM DIAGNOSIS OF COPD, stratified by AGE IN 10 YEAR AGE GROUPS and RACE.
Count of patients IN AGE RANGE (calculated as of DATE) with DX CODE X, but not DX CODE Y, stratified by ­AGE (5-YEAR OR 10-YEAR GROUPS) and RACE.
