We are looking at “true worship” – John 4:24 5 specific acts found in New Testament: Prayer Singing Instruction Giving Lord’s Supper

4. Lord We Come Before Thee Now
We often times talk about coming before the throne when we worship God. Psalm 95:1-3 - Oh come, let us sing to the LORD! Let us shout joyfully to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; Let us shout joyfully to Him with Psalms. For the LORD is the great God, And the great King above all gods.

5. Lord We Come Before Thee Now
Many times the Bible pictures God sitting on a throne of majesty and greatness. Isaiah 6:1 - In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple. Daniel 7:9 - "I watched till thrones were put in place, And the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, And the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, Its wheels a burning fire;

Revelation 4: After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, "Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this." 2 Immediately I was in the Spirit; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.

Psalm 27:44 - One thing I have desired of the LORD, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the LORD, And to inquire in His temple. Revelation 4:3 - And He who sat there was like a jasper and a sardius stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.

Dictonary.com defines beauty as: “The quality present in a thing or person that gives intense pleasure or deep satisfaction to the mind, whether arising from sensory manifestations (as shape, color, sound, etc.), a meaningful design or pattern, or something else (as a personality in which high spiritual qualities are manifest).”

Psalm 57:5, Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth. 11 Be exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let Your glory be above all the earth. Isaiah 25:1 - 1 O LORD, You are my God. I will exalt You, I will praise Your name, For You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.

Revelation 4: Around the throne were twenty-four thrones, and on the thrones I saw twenty-four elders sitting, clothed in white robes; and they had crowns of gold on their heads. 5 And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. 6 Before the throne there was a sea of glass, like crystal. And in the midst of the throne, and around the throne, were four living creatures full of eyes in front and in back.

Psalm 14:1 - 1 The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God." They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. 1 Peter 1: but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

Revelation 4: The first living creature was like a lion, the second living creature like a calf, the third living creature had a face like a man, and the fourth living creature was like a flying eagle. 8 The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: "Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!"

22. Man Is Humbled
Romans 12:3 - For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. Psalm 144:3-4 - LORD, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him? 4 Man is like a breath; His days are like a passing shadow.

Revelation 4: Whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying:

Psalm 145:21 - My mouth shall speak the praise of the LORD, And all flesh shall bless His holy name Forever and ever. Psalm 148:13 - Let them praise the name of the LORD, For His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.

Revelation 4:11 - "You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created." Hebrews 13:15 - Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." Revelation 22:9 - Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

Revelation 4:10 - the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying: Psalm 29:2 - Give unto the LORD the glory due to His name; Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.
