What is the coolest Chinese expression for the moment? Why do you think it could be so cool? Hints: Looking back on 2015, I think one of the coolest Chinese expressions is “吓死宝宝了.” In my opinion, the expression’s simplicity and accessibility contributed to its enduring popularity—the expression represents an instinct response to a frightening situation; it can be used, and is being used, by almost everybody. In addition, playing cute (卖萌) remains a constant trend, which may also explain why the expression could be so cool. 16
