Sun The sun is the star at the center of the solar system.
The sun is a part of our lives. Without the sun us humans wouldn’t live. Including plants, animals, etc. Other planets also orbit the sun.

Mercury Mercury is the smallest planet in the solar system.
Since Pluto is not a planet Mercury is the smallest. Mercury is the closest to the sun.

Venus Venus is the 2nd planet from the sun.
It orbits Earth days. It is named after the goddess of love and beauty.

Earth Earth is the 3rd planet from the sun.
It is referred as the world. It is home to many of species and humans. It also orbits the sun. The speed of the orbit is107,200 km/h.

Mars Mars is the 4th planet from the sun to our solar system.
The planet is named after Roman god of war also know as Ares. People believe that so called aliens are living there because some believe that they marked their face on Mars.

Jupiter Jupiter is the 5th planet from the sun.
It is the largest planet in the solar system. It is named after the Roman god king of the gods. Of sky and thunder. He his similar to Zeus. God of Greek Mythology

Saturn Saturn is the 6th planet from the sun.
It is the 2nd largest planet in the solar system. It is named after the Roman god equal to Zeus.

Uranus Uranus is the 7th planet form the sun.
It is named after the Greek god of the sky. It was the first planet to be discovered by a telescope.

Neptune Neptune is the 8th and farthest planet to the sun.
It is named after the Roman god of the sea. It is the 4th largest planet in the Solar system.

Asteroid Belt The Asteroid Belt is a region of the Solar system located between Mars and Jupiter. The belt was made into bits of planets and other stuff.

Moon The Moon is Earth’s 5th natural satellite.
Earth only has one moon, and we just call it moon. There are many positions in the moon. Including: Full, Near side, Far side and New moon.
