5 Bollywood…and other Building new ways within the South Asian communities, of going to the cinema and experience new forms of cinemas from India (other than Bollywood) Bollywood cinema represents ‘historically’ a reference point for social engagement (Kaur and Signa 2004), who watched Bollywood as means to connect with their homeland (Dudrah 2006; Acciari 2012; Kaur and Signa 2004).
