3. Chapter One: Ultimatum
Bella receives a letter from Jacob. Jacob misses Bella, and Bella misses Jacob.
Charlie, Bella’s dad, decides Bella will not be grounded anymore.
Charlie does not want Bella to spend time with Edward.
Charlie wants Bella to visit Jacob.
Bella and Edward find out they have both been accepted to Alaska University.
Bella wants to become a vampire.

4. Chapter Two: Evasion
Bella’s friends are excited to graduate High School! Alice has a vision of the future.
Edward and Alice do not want Bella to know what Alice saw in her vision.
Bella received airplane tickets from Edward’s parents for her birthday.
Edward wants Bella to go and visit her mom, Renee, in Florida.
Edward does not want Bella to go and visit Jacob.
Bella’s car won’t start when she tries to leave her house.

5. Chapter Three: Motives
Bella and Edward come home from Florida.
Bella and Edward went to visit, Renee, Bella’s mother.
Jacob calls Bella’s house looking for her.
Jacob visits Bella at school and tells Bella a bad vampire, Victoria, is back in town.
Bella is scared and mad.
Bella is mad that Edward did not tell her about the vampire, Victoria.
Edward promises he will never lie to Bella again.

6. Chapter Four: Nature Bella really wants to become a vampire.
Edward tells Bella he will make her a vampire if she marries him.
Bella goes to visit Jacob. All of Jacob’s friends welcome Bella.
Jacob and Bella talk for a long time while they walk along the beach.
Jacob talks about being a werewolf, and Bella talks about Edward being a vampire.
Bella realizes Jacob is sad that she likes Edward.

7. Chapter Five: Imprinting
Bella and Jacob talk about Jacob’s friends becoming werewolves.
Bella learns about Jacob’s werewolf friend, Sam.
Bella learns that werewolves do something called imprinting.
Imprinting is when a werewolf falls in love with another girl.
Bella learns that Sam has imprinted with a girl named Emily.
Sam fell in love with Emily the first time he met her.
Jacob says something mean to Bella. Bella gets mad with Jacob and leaves.

8. Chapter Six: Switzerland
Bella leaves Jacob’s house and sees Edward while she is driving home.
Bella went to visit Jacob. Bella goes to visit one of her friends, Angela.
When Bella goes home from Angela’s house, Edward is waiting for Bella inside of her bedroom.
Edward tells Bella he will be leaving for a hunting trip.
Bella thinks this will be a great time to visit Jacob.
After Edward leaves, Alice picks up Bella and takes her back to the Cullen Home.
Bella realizes Edward made Alice do this so Bella would not go and see Jacob.
While getting ready for bed, Rosalie, Edward’s sister, asks to talk to Bella.

9. Chapter Seven: Unhappy Ending
Bella will be happier as a human.
Rosalie tells Bella that she does not want her to become a vampire, because she feels
Rosalie tells Bella about how she became a vampire.
Bella learns that Rosalie was very happy when she was human and wanted to have children.
Bella learns that Rosalie became a vampire because she was about to die.
Bella learns that Rosalie was jealous of Bella because Edward paid more attention to Bella.
Rosalie tells Bella that she carried Emmett back to Carlisle and asked him to make him a
vampire.

10. Chapter Eight: Temper
Bella and Jacob go to the beach and hang out as friends.
Jacob tells Bella that Quil, Jacob’s friend, imprinted on a two year old girl named, Claire.
Jacob talks about how imprinting happens more than his tribe thought it would.
Jacob does not want Bella to become a vampire.
Jacob makes Bella mad, and she leaves his house.
Bella goes to Edward’s home, and they are no longer mad with one another.

11. Chapter Nine: Target Bella goes back to her house.
Jacob leaves Bella a message saying he is sorry and would like her to call him back.
Bella goes to her bedroom and learns that some of her things are missing.
Edward realizes an unknown vampire took things from Bella’s room.
The unknown vampire did not bother Bella’s dad, Charlie.
Alice could not see the vampire with her visions. Bella forgives Jacob for being mean.
Jacob and Edward work together to try and help Bella.

12. Chapter Ten: Scent
Jacob goes to Bella’s home to smell the vampire scent.
Bella was accepted to another college.
Carlisle calls Edward and tells him that the unknown vampires
are out of control and something needs to be done.
Edward tells Bella to go to the barn fire with Jacob.

13. Chapter Eleven: Legends
While at the barn fire, Bella learns about the history of the werewolf’s.
Bella learns that the werewolves do not age.
Bella learns that certain members of the tribe turn to werewolves
when vampires are a threat in the area.
Werewolves kill vampires that could harm other people.
They have a deal with the Cullen’s Cullens do not harm humans.
Jacob’s tribe does not kill the Cullen vampires because

14. Chapter 12: Time
Bella becomes scared that she will have to change her life when she becomes a vampire.
Edward wants Bella to stay human.
Edward wants Bella to marry him after they graduate high school.
Bella does not want to marry Edward right after high school.
Bella learns that Jasper, Edward’s brother, has a lot of scars from vampires biting him.

15. Chapter Thirteen: Newborns
Bella learns about Jasper’s history.
Bella learns that Jasper had a difficult past as a vampire.
Bella learns that a newborn vampire, when a human first becomes a vampire,
is very strong, wild and often wants to drink the blood of other humans.
Jasper has a special talent of handling emotions.
Bella learns how Jasper and Alice met one another.

16. Chapter Fourteen: Declaration
Bella, Edward and Alice are at school talking about graduation.
Edward and his family are planning on attacking the newborn vampires.
Bella is scared that Edward is going to get hurt while fighting the newborn vampires.
Alice and Edward are excited for Bella to graduate.
Bella tells Edward that she wants him to change her into a vampire, when it happens.
Jacob tells Bella he loves her and wants her to give him a chance.

17. Chapter Fifteen: Wager
Bella tells Jacob she loves him as a friend, not a boyfriend.
Jacob kisses Bella and she gets very mad.
Bella punches Jacob in the face and she breaks her hand.
Carlisle fixes Bella’s broken hand by putting her hand in a brace.

18. Chapter Sixteen: Epoch
Alice gives Bella an outfit to wear to graduation.
Bella learns that the vampire that took things from her bedroom is connected to the
newborn vampires.
Jacob and Charlie go to Bella’s graduation.
Bella receives her high school diploma.
Bella and Charlie talk in the car.
Bella tells Charlie how much she loves him and how she is happy that she came to
live with her dad.
Charlie drives Bella to the Cullen’s home for the graduation party.

19. Chapter Seventeen: Alliance
All of the students in the high school go to the graduation party at the Cullen’s house.
Alice has a vision about the newborns.
Jacob gives Bella bracelet with a wooden wolf charm for her graduation present.

Edward wants Bella to relax before the night of the fight.

23. Chapter Twenty One: Trails
Alice has a vision and knows that Bella and Edward are engaged.

24. Chapter Twenty Two: Fire and Ice
Bella is in the tent with Edward and she is very cold.
Edward and other vampires are cold.
Werewolves like Jacob are very warm.
Jacob comes into the tent to warm Bella.
Edward is very jealous.
Edward tells Bella he will never leave her again.
Jacob can see that Edward loves Bella.
Edward is happy that Jacob and Bella are friends.

25. Chapter Twenty Three: Monster
Edward tells Bella that the night that she said she would marry him
is the best night of his life.
Jacob knows that Edward and Bella are engaged.
Jacob kisses Bella again.
Bella realizes she loves Jacob but loves Edward more.
Jacob leaves to fight the newborns.

26. Chapter Twenty Four: Snap Decision
Bella and Edward wait in the tent.
The bad vampires, Victoria and Riley, approach the tent.
Bella distracts the vampires by cutting herself so the vampires could smell her blood.
One of the werewolves, Seth, attacks and kills Riley.
Edward kills the bad vampire, Victoria.

27. Chapter Twenty Five: Mirror
Bella is speechless and reflects on what she just saw.

Bella and Edward decide to tell Charlie they are getting married.
