2. Merserizing Process
Merserisasi is an operation of cotton materials with NaOH at selected temperature and selected time and at the time of which is same to be given by tension .
Kostisasi is an operation of cotton materials with NaOH at selected time and temperature but without tension.

5. Mechanism Process of mercerize
In general process merserizing by using caustic soda solution at room temperature by or without tension is then cleaned on the same time of that happened release of fibre rotation section of fibre become more rounded.

Acetic acid : 5 %

10. Procedure Operation
- Basin for merserisasi prepared to be filled with NaOH flake and calculated as according to amount water at basins
- Then arrange temperature 20oC, by adding ice water
- Soak fabric in solution of merser use tension according to time at recipe
- Clean fabric use hot water and cool water
- Prepare neutralizing liqour of acetate acid 5 %
- Soaking cloth in neutralizing solution at room temperature during 15 minute
- Clean fabric use hot water and cool water
- Fabric got out of by frame
- Then materials dried by using stenter,then doing test of fabric is strength test and absorpsion .

Mercerize process:
Concentration of NaOH : 20 %
Temperature : 20oC
Time : 20 – 50 second
Rinsing by hot water and chill water
Netralizing by CH3COOH 5 %
Time : 15 minute
Fabric got out by frame
Washing → drying
The test of fabric : strengthness dan absorption of fabric
