David believed God heard and answered his prayers.
David could reflect and see God’s care and protection in his life.

9. Assurance of God’s Protection
Psa. 3:5-6 (5) I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me. (6) I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.

10. Assurance of God’s Protection
David’s confidence in God allowed him to do what others could not do.
He lay down and slept.

He awoke with hope.

11. Assurance of God’s Protection
David had been saved by God before.
He was confident God would save him again.

12. Calling For God’s Deliverance
Psa 3:7-8
(7) Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.
