1. Asri Mousa, Independent Consultant, Oil & Gas, Iraq
Asri Mousa joined Iraq National Oil Company (INOC) early 1973 as a
Production Engineer after obtaining his Master degree and Bsc. Honours
in Process Engineering from the University of Sheffield in the UK

As Head Production Operations ( ) and First Deputy Director General at South Oil Company,
Asri was over three decades a key leading element in implementing strategic field-development and oil and gas infrastructure projects as well as managing oil and gas production and export operations in the south of Iraq.
At October 2003, he became Director Planning at SOC and then he focused on studies and projects for the
rejuvenation and expansion of Crude Export System in southern Iraq.
He was transferred early 2008 to The Minister Office to lead the Iraqi side as Chief Negotiator with Royal Dutch
Shell to form a joint venture for long-term utilization of gas in the province of Basra. A Heads of Agreement (HoA)
was signed September 2008 and the two sides are working toward developing a final comprehensive agreement.
As a member of Iraq Ministry of Oil’s team , Asri actively contributed in the first and second License Rounds,
and for the last three years he gave numerous seminars and workshops on Iraq’s oil and gas industry world wide.
Early 2011, Asri Mousa retired from the Ministry of Oil after 38 years of productive work and tremendous achievements to the development of Iraq’s oil and gas industry.
Recently, he started a new phase of his profession in the oil industry as Advisor and Consultant, Oil & Gas, Iraq.
