4 Prototyping MI-Control develops state of the art machine control systems. We use the machine control system to control the simulated machine, hence all machine functions can be visualized and tested before the machine is built. The control system runs on a PLC controller just as in real life. A mathematical model of the physical machine is created and implemented into the simulator software. This will give a true machine response for the PLC based control system.

5 Training The machine simulator can be used for training of operators and technical staff within an office environment. The simulated machine can be displayed on a projector in a conference room. The machine operator interface is the same as for the physical machine.

6 Sales and marketing The machine simulator can be used for sales and marketing of existing and new products. A compact mobile version of a simulator can easily be transported within normal luggage when sales personal travels to customer sites. The presentation will be impressive and the customer can even run the machine themselves. 7 Technical assistance tool
The machine simulator use the true PLC based control system. This means the technical staff can use the simulator as a powerful fault finding and hypnotic testing tool. Faults reported from sites can be tested and visualized back in the office. Even tuning can be tested since the simulator gives true machine response. Also new critical software functions can be tested and visualized before uploaded to the machine on site.

8 Integrated simulator MI-Control AS are able to deliver a machine control system with an integrated simulator. The simulator runs on the control system PLC and can be displayed on the machine HMI system. E.g. on the machine operator screen in the operators cabin. This opens up for totally new possibilities like: The operator can run the simulated machine for training purposes before running the physical machine itself. New critical software functions can be uploaded and tested on the simulated machine before running on the physical machine.

10 Simulator system overview
The virtual machine (Simulator Graphics) is created from the already existing 3D CAD model of the machine. We can place the simulated machine within its normal work environment. (On a rig, vessel, plant etc.) Several virtual machines can be run at the same time and it can interact with complex software such as anti collision software etc..
