Peer Connections offers appointments for tutors and mentors, workshops on academic skills, and opportunities for faculty to have peer educators in their classes. One on one tutoring Workshops Peer educators in classes

Send problems Include the student name and ID and the problem Students can run this in MySJSU frequently to check their courses against degree requirements Advisors can integrate this into advising sessions Great way to highlight errors (say a class that didn’t get entered in from a CC) “MyProgress”

Overall Goals of Enhancing HIPs Increase student success and educational equity Increase student engagement with their own learning and the world at large Engage faculty in their teaching and increase their passion for their field

25 Main Action Plan Goals 1. Analyze and map current use of HIPs to identify strengths and potential synergies and collaborations. 2. Leverage existing institutional and analytic structures to track participation in HIPs and build a foundational assessment plan for HIPs. 3. Establish a leadership team to ensure the initiative is sustainable. 4. Create a campus-wide plan for promoting awareness of HIPs that aligns with the campus strategic initiative for student success. 5. Adopt, expand, and strengthen targeted HIPs
