7 How we will help in the English Department
Senior leaders within the department who will provide mentorship to your child. Recognised by OFSTED as a strength within the school. Externally validated for the accuracy of marking and assessment. ‘Good’ to ‘Outstanding’ teaching across the department. Targeted Intervention sessions during Enrichment once a week. Friday ‘out-of-hours’ intervention focussing on a different topic. The same teachers for the entirety of KS4. Weekly updates via Twitter and the Parent Bulletin. All lessons and activities available to students. Revision guides/books recommended and ordered by the department.

8 What does my son/daughter need to do and how can I help?
100% attendance. Revise set texts by reading them again and again – study in lessons is not going to be enough. Talk to your son/daughter about the texts and perhaps read them as well. Subscribe to a broadsheet newspaper! Extra work – the completion of FLOs (Further Learning Opportunities).
