5 EUMETSAT Data Uptake - EUMETCast
End-to-End Data availability of S-3 NRT products within 3 hours of sensing to all users is outstanding with a mean availability higher than 97.7% Indicators collected on 31 December 2016 Delivery of Sentinel operational data started in July 2016: Initially with the Jason-3 Near Real Time products in July and then the off-line products; Followed by the Sentinel-3 Near Real Time products (on-going product ramp-up phase) Total estimated volume of Sentinel data distributed per day on 31 December 2016: 30 TB/Day (with only half of the products available)

6 Africa – covered by EUMETCAst
At the request of AUC Sentinel-3 L2 products are disseminated to Africa Distribution started simultaneously as in Europe SRAL L2 are currently open to all users, L2 OLCI and SST are still under validation 15 active African users are registered on EUMETCast in Benin, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Mauritania, Mauritius, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa and Uganda GByte are distributed per day 3 users regularly using CODA to download data in South Africa, Tunisia and Ghana for SLSTR and OLCI L1 data – 450 Gb downloaded in Q so far

7 GEOSCIENCE AUSTRALIA Technical Operating Agreement signed on 3 November 2016 Example of availability of EUMETCast-T to GA from 01/02 to 20/0/2017 Feedback from GA GA currently has about 180 TB of Sentinel-3 data, probably around 90 TB from EUMETSAT. GA has more than 500 users, about 100 of them have downloaded Sentinel-3 data.

10 Sentinel-3A CODA – Status at end Jan 2017:
1000 registered with 212 active users (including internal) downloading 104TB in Q1. Download by user type (externals only): 95% of data are downloaded by researchers and 2% by commercial users

OGC conform Multi mission Visualize it in your browser through EUMETView website or through your own GIS client Sneak preview of an OLCI L1 RGB in QGIS Software Package on the right Daily usage around 350 unique users and growing. User breakdown by continent: - Europe % - Asia (including middle east) % - Africa % - America % EUMETView is a visualisation service to view EUMETSAT (Meteosat & Metop) and and Copernicus Sentinel-3 marine imagery in an interactive way using an online map viewer. Key Features: Choose a layer, select the date range and area of interest and display your chosen visualisation; Run an animated loop or download your selected visualisations; EUMETView implements the OGC Web Map Service (WMS) Interface Standard and can be used to request and overlay products in GIS clients supporting OGC WMS

12 EUMETSAT’s Archive Data Ordering Service
The Data Centre provides access to the long-term archive of S3 and EUMETSAT mission data. Key Features: Order options allow you to select your chosen format, spatial and spectral sub-setting and apply data compression; Orders are automatically processed and smaller orders are delivered within a few hours; Resulting data can be retrieved from an online server (http-download) or via offline media, depending on the volume of data requested; The Data Centre catalogue spans the whole satellite mission life. It guarantees the long-term preservation of these data which are critical for the generation of climate data records.
