2 About me – Education Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations from the University of Houston-Central Master’s in Public Health degree from Walden University Texas Certified Teacher in (9th Year Teaching) Family Consumer Science Special Education Generalist (Early Childhood – Grade 8) Journalism (Grades 9-12)

3 About me –Family My family is from Jamaica.
I am both Jamaican and American (I have dual citizenship) My mother and sister, nephew, niece, and my brother-in-law live in Houston The rest of my family is in Jamaica, Florida and all over the world.

I’ve taught in the Aldine Independent School District I’ve taught overseas in the Middle East in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates I’ve taught English as a Second Language to adults in Houston I’ve worked for 2 years at the Department of Health and Human Services.

7 My Hobbies Exercise Read Travel Paris, France Rome, Italy
Colombia, South America Thailand and many, many more places.

8 Classroom Rules (Expectations)
Show respect for your teacher (listening, following instructions) Show respect for yourself and your classmates Show respect to the classroom (trash, push under chairs, computers clean) No food or drink in the classroom No Cell Phones. We have computers in the class (Place in Basket during class) Go to the Restroom and drink water during your transition from classes Bring your supplies to class every day (pen, pencil, other materials) No negative language in the classroom (curse words, offensive language) BE On Time. (need a pass if you are late) Ms. Thompson does not hug. (Fist pump only or wave) If the door is locked and you arrive to the classroom, line up against the wall and WAIT FOR ME TO ARRIVE.
