4 1) Adam and Eve left the Garden of Eden Genesis 3:24
So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

5 2) Cain was expelled from presence of God Genesis 4:16
Then Cain went out from the presence of the Lord and dwelt in the land of Nod on the east of Eden.

6 3) Abraham was told to get out Genesis 12:1, 5
1 Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 5 Then Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his brother's son, and all their possessions that they had gathered, and the people whom they had acquired in Haran, and they departed to go to the land of Canaan. So they came to the land of Canaan.

7 4) Tower of Babel Genesis 11:1-2
1 Now the whole earth had one language and one speech. 2 And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar, and they dwelt there.

8 5) Lot chooses to go East Genesis 13:9-11
9 Is not the whole land before you? Please separate from me. If you take the left, then I will go to the right; or, if you go to the right, then I will go to the left." 10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar. 11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.

9 6) Sodom & Gomorrah are in the East Genesis 13:12-13
12 Abram dwelt in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelt in the cities of the plain and pitched his tent even as far as Sodom. 13 But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.

10 7) Israel leaves Sinai – heads east Numbers 10:5-6
5 When you sound the advance, the camps that lie on the east side shall then begin their journey. 6 When you sound the advance the second time, then the camps that lie on the south side shall begin their journey; they shall sound the call for them to begin their journeys.

11 7) Israel leaves Sinai – heads east Numbers 10:5-6
In Numbers 13 and 14 we learn about: Sending the spies – false report People believed the false report Lived, wandered 40 years and died in the wilderness

12 8) Job – The exception to the rule Job 1:1-3
1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil. 2 And seven sons and three daughters were born to him. 3 Also, his possessions were seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, five hundred yoke of oxen, five hundred female donkeys, and a very large household, so that this man was the greatest of all the people of the East.

13 8) Job – The exception to the rule Job 2:3
Then the Lord said to Satan, "Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil? And still he holds fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy him without cause.“

14 8) Job – The exception to the rule Job 2:9-10
9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!" 10 But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we indeed accept good from God, and shall we not accept adversity?" In all this Job did not sin with his lips. He suffered much – but kept his integrity!
