i3 uses TVI HD analog AM42R/AM52R cameras (NTSC/PAL)

5. Veo17 requirements
When using TVI HD Analog output of the AM42R/AM52R (1 or 2 MP) series, frame rate will NOT exceed 12 fps/camera.
When using CVBS standard analog output of the AM42R/AM52R series, Veo17 will support 30 fps/camera.
Power supply of 12 VDC or 24 VAC
Each AM42R / AM52R requires 5W / 6W of power
To calculate required amperage (A), divide W by V
At 12V DC W/12V = 0.42A; W/12V = 0.50A For AC, multiply the results by 60%. At 24V AC W/24V/0.6 = 0.35A W/24V/0.6 = 0.42A
E.g. For 12x Am52R cameras using 12V DC power, purchase a power supply of 6A or more. (0.5A * 12 = 6A)

6. Veo17 requirements
Why Amperage is important?
i3 does not offer camera power supplies, which must be purchased from 3rd party suppliers. Power supply will indicate the Amperage it produces.
So if I buy 16x AM52R, what power supply would I need?
a) 8A
b) 16A
c) I don’t care, because i3 does NOT sell power supplies
d) I would recommend the customer to select the best power supply to ensure that i3 HD cameras can operate effectively
e) Both a) and d)

7. Real-time recording? Real-time recording is 30 fps
For example, an artist must draw 30 pictures in one second to see real movement
Veo 17 – ONLY standard analog (CVBS) allows to records at 30 fps, while TVI HD analog is capped at 12 fps.
Don’t forget: To switch between CVBS / TVI outputs on the Am42R, adjust the dipswitch on the camera. This does not apply to Am52R.

Line Crossing Detection: This function can be used for detecting people, vehicles and objects that cross a set virtual line. The line crossing direction can be set as bidirectional, from left to right or from right to left. And you can set the duration for the alarm response actions, such as full screen monitoring, audible warning, etc.
Intrusion Detection: This function can be used for detecting whether there are people, vehicles and objects intruding into the pre-defined region longer than the set duration. And you can set the duration for the alarm response actions, such as full screen monitoring, audible warning.

Please process an RMA claim with Tech Support and ship the unit back to i3. Important: i3 International is not liable for any video data loss. To protect recorded video data, retain the storage HDD before shipping the Veo17 to i3.
i3 will reset your password and ship your unit back.
Customer must re-install their old HDD once they receive their Veo17 with the reset password.

22. Questions from RSM Q: Can VPC connect to Veo17?
A: Not at this time. Maybe in the future.
Q: Can you do PACDM with a Veo17?
A: No. Since Veo17 is a standalone unit (NOT Windows-based), it is impossible to install PACDM on it.
Q: Can Veo17 take a 6TB drive?
A: Yes.
Q: Will Veo17 connect to health monitoring/CMS?
A: Not at this time
Q: What’s the highest MP camera you can use with it?
A: Veo17 is an analog stand-alone unit and accepts HD TVI analog input and standard analog CVBS input (4CIF). i3’s Am52R offers the highest HD TVI analog resolution, which is comparable to 2MP (1080P) resolution of an IP camera.
Q: When is the official release date?
A: End of December – beginning of January 2017 (or sooner)
