A day where you bring your lunch in waste-free or reusable containers A day where you try to have a very small amount of trash A day where try to recycle anything that can’t be reused

Hard plastic containers Hard silver spoons and forks Soft cloth napkins A Thermos A water bottle that can be used again and again

What can’t we recycle? Will it help the Earth?

6 How Do We Recycle? Blue bin in your classroom
At home there is a big blue bin Make sure there is no food left in the things that you will recycle

7 What Can We Recycle? Juice boxes Milk cartons Colored paper
White paper Foil Plastic spoons and knives Pudding cups Fruit cups Yogurt containers

8 What Can’t We Recycle? Tissues Styrofoam Plates with food on them

10 Waste-Free Lunch Day Details:
You get a prize for having the least amount of waste The first waste free lunch day is on the January 12 and every Tuesday for the rest of the school year There will be a bin for trash and food that’s leftover and a bin for things that can be recycled We will count how many trash bags you have at the end of lunch and see which grade has the least amount of trash
