PMM stator has similar construction to that of induction motor. PMM is a synchronous motor: its rotor RPM is equal to the rotation speed of the magnetic field of the stator windings. 21 Abrasion-resistant gas separator & multiphase pump
In conventional gas separator the weakest point is cavitating impeller where solids get accumulated and housing gets cut by abrasive flow. Novomet has developed helical screw type of gas separator to eliminate cases of housing cutting. 1. Helical screw with variable step 2. Hub 3. Screw-shaped blades inclined to flow direction Multiphase pump is used as main pump topping unit for producing of the oil with associated gas. Handles and circulates gas liquid mixture through main pump without discontinuity of the flow and prevents stationary gas locking formation. In combination with gas separator handles up to 90% of free gas at intake.
