Tools > Add-ins Check the Solver check-box Click OK Now Solver will appear on the Tools Menu

3 Setting up Solver Excel 2007 & 2010
EXCEL 2007 & 2010 are different Click Office Button (upper LH corner) Select Excel Options (bottom of window) Select Add-ins (LH menu) Click checkbox for Solver and OK Now Solver will appear on the Data Menu STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS ARE SHOWN for Excel 2010 IN THE NEXT SLIDES

4 Click on the File menu item
Then Click on Options

6 Click the checkbox to select Solver Add-in. Then click OK
Click the checkbox to select Solver Add-in. Then click OK. You will be returned to the Spreadsheet page.

7 In the Menu ribbon, select Data
In the Menu ribbon, select Data. At the right hand of the Data menu you will a section labeled Analysis. In this section is the Solver tool.

8 Clicking on Solver will open the Solver Parameters dialogue box
Clicking on Solver will open the Solver Parameters dialogue box. This is where you specify the Objective, the solution cells, and the Constraints. Note: this dialogue box is different in 2010 than in 2003 and 2007.
