1 KEY CLUB

2 PLEDGE I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the Objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

3 WHAT IS KEY CLUB? Key Club was started in 1925 and is the oldest and largest service program for high school students. It is a student-led organization that teaches leadership through service to others. Members of the Kiwanis International family, Key Club members build themselves as they build their schools and communities. Key Club has approximately 260,000 members in approximately 5,000 clubs. Key Club is represented in over 31 countries.

5 MEETING DAYS Every other Tuesday in 1C-205 (Mrs. Debellis’ room)

7 HOURS SHEETS ALL hours earned through Key Club sponsored or hosted events need to be listed on ONE sheet. You are responsible for keeping track of your hours. At the end of the year we will sign off on your hours. If you have any questions about hours talk to an officer after the meeting. You can pick up the forms in the guidance office! Meetings now count as volunteer hours! Each meeting = 1 hour!

You are required to attend one meeting BEFORE your community service hours are valid.

15 Pizza/Popcorn Sales! (Aneesa)
Need 3-4 people every other Wednesday, same week as meetings. We are going to split up those who signed up and use about 4 people each time. Starting this week after school in court yard until 3:15- ish. Set up tables (possibly get out of seventh early) and sell until it runs out. Make $40-$50 each time, instead of fundraising sales.

16 SNAP W/ FFEA (GRACE) Every Tuesday during the second half of lunch (11:30-12) Two Key Clubbers help by playing games, crafting and watching movies with the kids so that their teachers can eat lunch. Easy 30 minutes We need two people to sign up for Tuesday October 6th, 13th and 20th. (We will split those who have signed up) Include phone numbers on sign up sheet so that you can be reminded

17 Spooktacular! Every person needs a form returned to Kayla by next meeting to be turned into the City of Deltona. Friday October 5:30 pm and Saturday October 4:30 pm at Dewey Booster in Deltona Friday is “scary night”, so volunteers will be painted and work on the trail, or run games. Saturday is busier and family night, so volunteers will still be working the trail, but more games and directing. Please sign specific sheet for the night you can attend!

20 Children’s Home Deltona Childrens home needs students, both groups and individuals, to INDEPENDENTLY volunteer with their resale shop in Orange City Lynn at or contact her at Must get a form/waiver from her beforehand

21 Pumpkin Smash! Pumpkins donated from the CUMC Pumpkin Patch after Halloween Friday November lunch in the courtyard Ariel Ide - Committee Head During lunch, $1.00 per “smash” Need goggles, tarp, table, bats and ponchos!

22 Kiwanis Korn Boil! Sell “korn” at the Kiwanis trailer
Volusia County Fair Wear a Key Club or University High School t-shirt, tell them you are there to volunteer and they will let you in for free! People filled the sign up sheets, if you need to be reminded on when you signed up, see Parth after the meeting.

23 Deland Art Festival Aneesa - Committee Head Downtown Deland
November 21-22 Watch the artists booths while they take a lunch break

24 Adopt-A-Platoon Military Care Packages!
December 1st after the meeting we will stay after and make the boxes! (Volunteer hours) I will provide the boxes and the club will cover the shipping costs. Forming up to 10 teams of 3-5 people each! You guys will bring in the items to go in the packages. (Read off of sheet) We will have supplies to make cards also. We will send them in time to arrive for Christmas!

25 Christmas Goodie Bags Donate Christmas goodie bags to the children at Neumors Children’s hospital We will provide bags and “goodies” to assemble. Make cards to go with the bags! Stay after the meeting on December 15th

26 Disney Race Volunteers
Ariel Ide - Committee Head Need sign up names before we can be assigned times, dates, FREE t-shirts, etc. Wednesday January 6th - Sunday January 10th Free park pass for every 16 hours, or 5k/10k volunteers!

27 Dog & Cat food drive! Starting now! Ties in governor’s project
All proceeds going to West Volusia Humane Society Boxes in Mr. Hartless’ room and front office We are collecting: Canned dog & cat food (any brand) Bagged dog & cat food (any brand) Treats/bones Collars/leashes Toys Paper towels & towels

28 Adopt a Turtle! Ties in our governor’s project
The Turtle Hospital in Marathon Key (Sea Turtle Rescue & Rehabilitation) $35.00 per turtle We choose turtle, then get plaque hung at facility and monthly updates on turtle.

29 Idea Box! Questions, comment, concerns, clarifications
Ideas for any new events or suggestions to our current events Write on index card and we will answer at each meeting (Can be anonymous)
