3. Reasons
Every year, more than $300 billion in federal funds is awarded to states and communities based on Census data. That’s more than $3 trillion over a 10- year period.
* Census data guide local decision-makers in important community planning efforts, including where to build new roads, hospitals and schools.
* Census data affect your voice in Congress by determining how many seats each state will have in the US House of Representatives

4. Schedule
Every Census Bureau worker takes an oath for life to protect the confidentiality of Census responses. Violation would result in a jail term of up to five years and/or fine of up to $250,000. By law, the Census Bureau cannot share an individual’s answers with anyone, including welfare and immigration agencies.
Feb.-March 2010, Census questionnaires are mailed or delivered to households
April 1, 2010, Census Day
April-July 2010, Census takers visit households that did not return a questionnaire by mail.

5. Schedule
December 2010, By law, Census Bureau delivers population counts to President for apportionment.
March 2011, By law, Census Bureau completes delivery of redistricting data to states.
In April 2011, the traditional enumerations will be provided to Congress.  
In May, 2011, however, the "Turk" tabulation will be provided to ATAA for a fee (we obtained this after long and difficult consultations with the Department of Commerce with respect to the Federal Census Mandate and Privacy Act)

6. Question 9
All who write in anything with the root word "Turk", such as "Turkic", "Turkish", "Turkmen", "Turcoman" etc. will automatically be counted as "Turk".  Furthermore, the "Turk" enumeration will be counted as "White" in the traditional enumeration.

8. ATAA-FTAA Cooperation in NJ and NY
1. Complete Count Meetings among local leaders and Census experts for Census education;
2. Complete Count Events with the locals at Turkish community centers, mosques, and other places of gathering;
3. Posting and provision of printed educational material (showing both ATAA and FTAA seals), at places where the Turkish community frequents (grocery stores, community centers, restaurants, mosques, etc.).  
4. Provision of Census experts at Turkish community centers and mosques to answer questions for constituents;
5. Provision of a number to hire Turkish Americans for Census 2010 work;
6. Provision of Census 2010 SayTurk ads in local newspapers.

9. Our Purpose
After 2020, to be counted as TURK, so that we can get money from Federal Government for schooling, teacher salary, and social programs.
