Imminent task:
Introduction of a new Digital Repository System for the whole collection
With the following in mind:
Up-to date metadata exchange formats (MARC21, RDF, RDA)
Authority data axchange (e.g. Viaf.org)
Updating existing data-exchange relations (EUROPEANA, TEL, regional databases)
Integration of all collections and sub-collections
Description rules need to be implemented for special document types
Unified interface for all digital content
With special display options for special collections (e.g. virtual exhibitions)

Are there going to be separate how-to guides for each document type?

The M-Tool is going to be used by curators, not IT-staffers.
Guides need to be provided at their comfort level.
