WHAT'S YOUR EXCUSE? When confronted with the gospel of Jesus Christ, many people come up with all kinds of excuses for not accepting Him as Saviour. These excuses cause people to die and spend eternity in hell without God. Let's look at some of these excuses:
3
1. I just don't know if this is the right time for me to be saved.
II Corinthians 6:2 tells us: “...behold now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation.”
4
2. I’m going to wait until later to be saved.
Proverbs 27:1 tells us: “Boast not thyself of tomorrow, for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.”

3. What will my friends think? They may not like me anymore.
James 4:4 tells us: “...whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
6
4. I won't be able to have any fun. I won't be happy.
Psalm 146:5 tells us: “Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God.”
7
5. I don’t know how to be saved.
Romans 10:13 tells us: For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
8
6. God probably doesn’t want me.
John 6:37 tells us: All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

When you get right down to it, according to the Bible, there is no excuse for not accepting Christ as Saviour. Romans 1:20 tells us: “For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.”
