2. The results for the 2016-17 state PARCC exams follow
The results for the state PARCC exams follow. The results are developed by percent scoring a 4 or 5 (which is considered proficient or advanced proficient). Elementary school English Language Arts (ELA) scores for all tested grades (3,4,and 5) are followed by middle school tested grades (6,7, and 8) and finally by high school tested grades (9,10, and 11). Math results then follow for the same schools and grades. NOTE: Algebra 1 is tested in BOTH middle and high school. Most Mount Olive Middle School students take Algebra 1 as 8th graders. The few students that don’t take it then, take 8th grade Math. The scores reflected for 8th grade Math are for these students. The 9th or 10th grade students that take Algebra 1 in high school are then tested at Mount Olive High School and reported separately. In high school, besides a few students that take Algebra 1, the only other math courses tested at MOHS are Algebra 2 and Geometry.
