Lack of opportunity Lots of CV-writing and short courses but limited access to very expensive, accredited training. Member referred by a Beam Partner “Member” referred by a charity or council Initial referees will not have “complex needs” Preparation for crowdfunding Beam “Member Manager” helps match member with training “Action Plan”, budget and draft profile created Crowdfunding campaign Members receive positive messages of support with donations Ancillary costs like transport or childcare funded through same campaign Training Training provided by third partners - paid directly by Beam with crowdfunded funds Member Manager supports member throughout Employment Beam tries to place members into roles before the end of training Support of Member Manager ceases when member in stable work

12 How can Beam support HAG Members’ work?
Beam can be a tool in your toolbox, supplementing grants and helping you get even more individuals out of the cycle of homelessness through life-changing training. Beam is now taking referrals of individuals who are: Legally permitted to work in the UK Age 18 or over Homeless, at risk of homelessness or experienced homelessness In your professional opinion, committed to training and work, and In your professional opinion, not suffering from alcohol, drug-related, gambling or mental health conditions to an extent that materially impairs their ability to train and work.
