Lack of opportunity
Lots of CV-writing and short courses but limited access to very expensive, accredited training.

Beam is a new website that crowdfunds high-quality employment training for London’s homeless community
“Members” of Beam also benefit from a local support network of people who have funded their employment training

Beam can be a tool in your toolbox, supplementing grants and helping you get even more individuals out of the cycle of homelessness through life-changing training.
Beam is now taking referrals of individuals who are:
Legally permitted to work in the UK
Age 18 or over
Homeless, at risk of homelessness or experienced homelessness
In your professional opinion, committed to training and work, and
In your professional opinion, not suffering from alcohol, drug-related, gambling or mental health conditions to an extent that materially impairs their ability to train and work.
