Development of Replication Strategy Plan for Environmental Management of Livestock Production Project By Department of Livestock Development Under Livestock Waste Management in East Asia Project 17-19 June 2008

2 Scope of the Project Objective 1. To establish replication plans and strategies for PMO/DLD to promote and disseminate the efficient livestock waste management technologies for short and long term. 2. To promotion a new code of practice for reducing negatives impact generated by livestock wastes. 3. To utilize the result from all studies and activities of the LWMEA project to support the plan.

3 Scope of the Project Output Replication strategy including a. Short action plan for last two years of the LWMEA project Long action plan for ten years after the LWMEA project - 5 years after LWMEA project finished (the first phase) - 5 years after the first phase

Strategy 1 Human resource development Key measures: Provide capacity building of government officials who involve in livestock activities especially ones under the local administrative organizations to be able to consult, suggest, and regulate livestock farms. Educate livestock owners for proper waste management.
