Increasing use of analytics Combining traditional and non-traditional data Predictive Analytics - The use of big data to identify past patterns to predict outcomes, employs predictive modelling. Central Bank Survey - A little more than 80% of respondents said they have no intra-departmental or divisional bodies dedicated to big data. More than three-quarters of respondents indicated they had a shared internal platform, typically in the form of reporting frameworks and data warehouses. General Government Revenue (% of GDP) vs. General Government Net Lending/Borrowing (% of GDP) General government revenue (% of GDP) International Monetary Fund: World Economic Outlook Database Percentage From the World Economic Outlook Database. General government revenue consists of taxes, social contributions, grants receivable, and other revenue. The data is expressed as a percentage of gross domestic product (GDP). GDP represents the total value of final goods and services produced within a country during a specified time period. VS. General government net lending/borrowing (% of GDP) International Monetary Fund: World Economic Outlook Database Percentage From the World Economic Outlook Database. General government net lending/borrowing (% of GDP) is calculated as revenue minus total expenditure, and expressed as a percentage of gross domestic product. A negative value represents net borrowing, which is the financial resources that the government absorbs from other sectors of the economy. A positive value represents net lending, which is the financial resources that the government releases to other sectors of the economy. GDP represents the total value of final goods and services produced within a country during a specified time period.
