1 Title of Foldable: Endangered Species and Climate Change
Mrs. Riordan

2 Make a 5 tabbed foldable like the one the teacher is showing you
Make a 5 tabbed foldable like the one the teacher is showing you. You need 3 pieces of white paper.

3 As you wait for the stapler to go around make your title at the very top of the 1st page.
Go ahead and put your name in the upper right hand corner. The title is Endangered Species and Climate Change. Your project for this unit will be to choose an endangered species and tell how it will be affected by climate change You will make an infographic to show this relationship. An infographic is kind of like an advertisement. Therefore you will choose a target audience for your infographic.

4 The purpose of this foldable
To collect information for your infographic Do not lose, you will be collecting evidence for your infographic throughout the unit. Keep in in your notebook or class folder.

5 Tab Number One Under the flap
The title for tab number one is on your very 1st flap, under the title. Your title is: 1. Climate Change Concepts Under the flap Ozone Layer: Greenhouse Gases Global Warming Graphic: Graphic

6 Under the tab: write the following 4 questions
Tab Number Two Title: Atmospheric CO2 Over Time Under the tab: write the following 4 questions 1. What is the lowest and highest CO2 for the Keeling curve data? 2. How does the ice core data compare to the keeling curve data? 3. How does the rate or speed of change in the past 50 years compare to the rate or speed of change over the last 20,000 years? 4. How does the temperature change in response to atmospheric CO2 concentrations?

7 Tab Number Three Under the flap
Title: Human Health and Quality of Life Under the flap Who is affected most by climate change? Human Health Impact Energy Food Security/Agriculture

8 Tab Number Four Under the flap Title: 4. Solutions
Energy Efficiency and Conservation Fossil Fuel-based strategies Nuclear Power Renewables and Bio

9 Under the flap write the following 4 questions with space for answers
Tab Number 5 Title: 5. Endangered Species Under the flap write the following 4 questions with space for answers 1. How do scientists predict your species range will change in The future? How will its habitat change? (use fieldscope and climate wizard) 2. Direct impacts of climate change on your species (e.g. changes in the climate that will affect its habitat. 3. Indirect impacts (e.g. changes to its food source – phenology mismatch). 4. What othe species, including humans, would be impacted if your species whet extinct? (draw a food web)

10 Back of the Foldable Argument Statement Counter argument statement
By 2080, my species will…… Another possibility is that in the future, my species will……. Evidence Statement The evidence that makes me think this is: (must have at least 3) Counter Evidence Statement But I think this is not as likely to happen because: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.
