1 The Christ-Centered Home

2 The Christ-Centered Wife

3 “the woman who seeks to live her life and manage her home in a way that puts Christ at the Center.
She does this by following Christ’s instructions found in the Sacred Scriptures.”

4 Support Her Husband

5 “Then the LORD God said, "It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him." So out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them. And whatever the man called every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was not found a helper fit for him.” Genesis 2:18-20 ESV

6 “For man was not made from woman, but woman from man
“For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.” 1 Corinthians 11:8-9 ESV

13 Clear Command from Scripture

14 “Wives, submit to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.”
Colossians 3:18 ESV “submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives, submit to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife even as Christ is the head of the church, his body, and is himself its Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.” Ephesians 5:21-24 ESV

15 “Likewise, wives, be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives-when they see your respectful and pure conduct.” 1 Peter 3:1-2 ESV

16 3. With Commands to Husbands
Context of Submission 1. Spiritual Equality 2. Mutual Submission 3. With Commands to Husbands

17 Nature of Submission Attitude more than action. YIELD.
From a Yielded-ness to Christ

18 Nature of Submission Not Without Boundaries.
Unbiblical, Immoral, Illegal, Unethical.

19 Purpose of Submission 1. For the Glory of God and the Good of Your Family. 2. Could Win Your Husband to Christ.

20 3. Serve Her Home.

21 An excellent wife who can find. She is far more precious than jewels
An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. The heart of her husband trusts in her, and he will have no lack of gain. She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, and works with willing hands. She is like the ships of the merchant; she brings her food from afar. She rises while it is yet night and provides food for her household and portions for her maidens. She considers a field and buys it; with the fruit of her hands she plants a vineyard. She dresses herself with strength and makes her

22 arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable
arms strong. She perceives that her merchandise is profitable. Her lamp does not go out at night. She puts her hands to the distaff, and her hands hold the spindle. She opens her hand to the poor and reaches out her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of snow for her household, for all her household are clothed in scarlet. She makes bed coverings for herself; her clothing is fine linen and purple. Her husband is known in the gates when he sits among the elders of the land. She makes linen garments and sells them; she delivers

23 sashes to the merchant. Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. She looks well to the ways of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: "Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all." Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates. Proverbs 31:10-31 ESV

24 a strong, kind, wise, God-fearing woman with a homeward-orientation and an entrepreneurial spirit.

25 4. Mentor Younger Women.

26 “Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” Titus 2:3-5 ESV

27 The Christ-Centered Wife seeks to Support and Submit to Her Husband, Serve Her Home and Mentor Younger Women.

28 How Christ-Centered Is She?
The Wife in Your Home… How Christ-Centered Is She?

29 What Do You Need to Do to Bring Christ to the Center?

30 the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and said, "This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me." In the same way also he took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me." For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

31 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body eats and drinks judgment on himself. 1 Corinthians 11:23-29 ESV
