1 TEMPLATE MAINTENANCE PRESENTATIONS Instructions
This document provides a template presentation format of WELL features that include cleaning or maintenance protocols. You may wish to use the slides of this template in a few ways: Conduct a training of facilities teams Add slides to existing training sessions Review protocols during WELL charrette For your convenience, the template has been organized into two sections: cleaning and maintenance. This template includes both precondition and optimization features and you should adjust your agenda accordingly The text is updated to the April 2017 version, which may vary from previous or future versions of WELL.

Certified cleaning products eliminate harmful ingredient contents and reduce potential associated hazards. Cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization products selected for use must be certified according to the criteria in Table A4 of the WELL Building Standard. These include product certifications such as: EPA’s Safer Choice, GreenSeal, Environmental Choice New Zealand, EU Ecolabel, Nordic Ecolabel, etc. For projects outside the United States, any Type 1 eco-labeling program as defined by ISO 14024: developed by a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network may be used.

Hand soap and sanitizers selected for use must be certified according to the criteria in Table A4 of the WELL Building Standard. These include product certifications such as: EPA’s Safer Choice, GreenSeal, Environmental Choice New Zealand, EU Ecolabel, Nordic Ecolabel, etc. For projects outside the United States, any Type 1 eco-labeling program as defined by ISO 14024: 1999 developed by a member of the Global Ecolabelling Network may be used. Hand soaps and hand sanitizers should use no antimicrobial agents (other than as a preservative) except where required by health codes and other regulations (e.g., food service and health care requirements).
