Why Resurrection? Matthew 28:5-6 But the angel answered and said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Reasons for Resurrection
To show that God approved Jesus’ sacrifice Romans 4:24-25 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification. I Corinthians 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Power in Resurrection Romans 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Motivation to Live for God Because of Hope
Philippians 4:10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, Paul’s life (I Corinthians 15:9-10) Glorified Body I John 3:2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. Motivation to Live for God Because of Hope I John 3:3 And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Rejoice that Jesus is risen!
Jesus, the Firstfruits I Corinthians 15:20-21 But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. Rejoice that Jesus is risen!
