5. Concept of Regional Hubs
As a community-based medical school, BCOM will provide required 3rd and some 4th clinical training in southwestern region through affiliations with physicians, ambulatory care sites, and hospitals.
Regional Assistant Dean and Coordinator direct the students‘ required 3rd year rotations in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, psychiatry and 4th year emergency medicine.
BCOM is setting up the Regional Hubs, recruiting Regional Assistant Dean and Coordinators.

Bridging course - pre-clerkship curriculum with clerkships with the goal to provide knowledge and skills training to enable students to function in the clerkships from day one. Topics: procedural skills; professionalism; accessing medical literature; and ACLS.
Interact effectively with patients as part of a team.
Perform specific procedures and interpret findings.
Manage information/seek evidence to solve clinical problems.
