2 Apakah Citra Dijital An image is an array, or a matrix, of square pixels (picture elements) arranged in columns and rows. A digital image is a representation of a two-dimensional image as a finite set of digital values, called picture elements or pixels A digital image can be considered as a large array of discrete dots, each of which has a brightness associated with it. These dots are called picture elements, or more simply pixels. We can think of an image as a function, f, from R2 to R: f( x, y ) gives the intensity at position ( x, y )
