2. Azure Stack prizing What’s new
Orderable Azure Stack integrated systems: We have delivered a pre-release version of Azure Stack software to our hardware partners, enabling them to certify their solutions and make them available. Organizations can now order integrated systems from Dell EMC , HPE, and Lenovo.   We’re now jointly working through final validation before the first systems begin shipping in September.
Azure Stack software pricing and availability: We have released pricing for the pay-as-you-use and capacity-based models today, organizations can use that information to plan their purchases.
Azure Stack Development Kit (ASDK) availability: ASDK, the free single-server deployment option for trial purposes, is available for web download today. Customers can use it to build and validate their applications for integrated systems deployments.

Both SQL Server and Azure SQL Database use a common T-SQL query language across cloud and on-premises. This means you can seamlessly distribute data between on-premises and cloud. SQL Server Stretch Database allows on-premises data to be archived on lower cost Azure storage with no application changes required.

Business processes – The System x business at Lenovo maintains the same rigorous supply chain and development processes and controls put into place by IBM.  Further, Lenovo’s acquisition of the System x business was subject to review and approval by the U.S. CFIUS regulatory agencies, and included commitments by Lenovo to maintain these processes and controls, including secure firmware development processes that include the signing and storing of code in the U.S.  These commitments are subject to audit by the U.S. Government, resulting in what Lenovo believes to be the most transparent, auditable and secure supply chain in the server industry.
