Proverbs 8:10-11 10 Receive my instruction, and not silver,
And knowledge rather than choice gold; 11 For wisdom is better than rubies, And all the things one may desire cannot be compared with her.
2
How much better to get wisdom than gold!
And to get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver. (Proverbs 16:16) “Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.” (Proverbs 4:7)

What is Wisdom? Wisdom often confused with knowledge.
Knowledge is mere possession of facts. Wisdom is the ability to combine facts so as to determine causes and effects. -- The ability to look at a situation and accurately determine its cause. -- The ability to predict the outcome of a particular course of action. The test of maturity is ability to foresee consequences and act accordingly.
4
How is Wisdom Gained? The Best source is God!
The hard way is by trial and error. A better way is by observation. Still better is instruction from wise counselors. -- Who have made their own mistakes. -- Who have had more opportunity to observe -- Who love you and are concerned for you. The Best source is God!

We choose whether we will be:
Foolish Wise Or 24“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26“But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” (Matthew 7:24-27)
