9 Importance of environmental protection
Environmental analysis technology Importance of environmental protection Due to the pressures of population and technology, the biophysical environment is being degraded, sometimes permanently. Environmental protection means that human beings consciously protect and reasonably make use of natural resources and prevent natural environment from pollution and destruction.

10 Environmental analysis technology
To the environment that has been polluted and destroyed comprehensive management measures have to be taken to create an environment suitable for human life and work. Meanwhile, environment protection has the meaning of the general terms of all kinds of actions taken by human in order to solve the practical or potential environmental issues, coordinate the relationship between human and environment, and ensure a sustainable economic and social development.

11 Environmental monitoring
Environmental analysis technology Environmental monitoring Environmental monitoring describes the processes and activities that need to take place to characterize and monitor the quality of the environment. Environmental monitoring is used in the preparation of environmental impact assessments, as well as in many circumstances in which human activities carry a risk of harmful effects on the natural environment. All monitoring strategies and programs are often designed to establish the current status of an environment or to establish trends in environmental parameters.

12 Environmental analysis technology
As the development of the current science and technology, professional instruments are needed to monitor the environment. In this semester, this course is devoted to the analyses of water and soil. If time permits, we are also going to analyze the PM2.5 in the atmosphere.

13 other specific settings.
Environmental analysis technology Environmental analysis is the use of analytical chemistry and other techniques to study the environment. The purpose  commonly to monitor and study the levels of pollutants in the atmosphere, rivers and  other specific settings.
