Total Commitment From the Heart: (Psalms 119:2) “Blessed are those who keep His testimonies, Who seek Him with the whole heart!” Total Commitment in Seeking the Lord: (Psalms 119:10) “With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandments!”

5. God wants TOTAL COMITTMENT FROM OUR ENTIRE BEING!
Total Commitment in Obedience: (Psalms 119:34) “Give me understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall observe it with my whole heart.” Totally Committed: (Mark 12:30) “…’you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.' This is the first commandment.”

6. Observations About the Rich, Young Ruler
He expressed (at least some) belief in Jesus
He expressed a faithfulness to God
He expressed a desire for eternal life
The Rich young ruler thought himself to be perfect
“If you want to be perfect…go, sell what you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me."

The rich young ruler LACKED ONLY ONE THING – AND WAS LOST!!!

Anger Toward a Brother Without Cause?
(Matthew 5:22-23) "But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire. "Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that your brother has something against you, (NKJV)

Refusing to Confess ONE Sin to God?
(1 John 1:9-10)
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

13. What ONE thing do you lack?
Failing to Share Your Faith ?

"Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. "But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven. (NKJV)

Putting Any one person or Any one thing Before God?
(Matthew 10:37-39) "He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. "And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. "He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it. (cont.)

Putting Any one person or Any one thing Before God?
(Mark 10:29-30) So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, "who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time--houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions--and in the age to come, eternal life. Refusing to give up One Willful Sin? (Hebrews 10:26) For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, (NKJV)
