10 How do they work? 1. Manual Control
- Use your phone or a device to arm and disarm 2. Geofencing System automatically arms when you leave the house. How does the system know? A radius around your house can be adjusted through your phone Smart phone. System detects presence of phone(s) - Special remote/fob can also work in the geofence Advantages - Usually works and you don't have to remember to arm and disarm Disadvantages Can be buggy and sometimes you will set off an alarm double check or set up a light indicator for yourself 3. Time Based - Set system to arm or disarm on schedule - Arm system M-F from 9am-3pm System will automatically do this for you

One something happens it triggers an action - If motion sensor goes off it triggers sound alarm or turn on light - When phone/arrival sensor is sensed send text (i.e. child arrives home parent gets text) - When system is disarmed adjust temperature - When family member arrives unlock door - When everyone is gone check to make sure doors are locked - When system is armed a specified light is on or off from 9am-3pm System will automatically do this for you
