Start Early! Give yourself enough time to study well
Research shows that studying in short intervals is best Place all your tests on a calendar so you know when they are Make a study schedule with everything you should study for the test and when you should study it

Make a Nice Study Space Make sure you have enough space to spread out your books Make sure the space is bright enough and the chair is comfortable Get rid of all distractions so you can focus

How Should You Study? A good starting place is to write down everything you know about the subject This helps you identify what you don’t know yet After you have study, write it all out again Explain what you have learned to someone else Being able to explain something well tells you how much you really know

More Study Tips Take practice exams on old tests
If there are no practice exams, write one with the subject material From a study group with friends Ask each other questions and help explain the subject Take regular breaks Drink lots of water and eat healthy snacks Get a good amount of sleep

Stress Relief! Being a student can be hard!
It’s important to find healthy ways to deal with the stresses of being a student

Power nap! Being sleep deprived and tired has many disadvantageous
It makes you impatient, anxious, less productive, and easily stressed A quick minute nap in the afternoon can combat these effects You’ll often wake up feeling refreshed and less stressed

Meditation If you can’t nap during the day you can try meditation
Meditation is great for a quick 5 to 20 minute relaxation break from the stresses of the day Meditation can have an extreme calming effect on the body Meditation involves sitting quietly in a relaxed position Focus on your breathing and clear your mind of all thoughts

Visualization Visualization is another great method for relaxation and stress relief It is similar to meditation, but instead of clearing your mind, you focus on achieving your goals Pick one specific goal, like doing well on your test, and visualize it happening Focus on all the details and see yourself doing well on the test

Exercise Exercise can be a fantastic stress reliever
It releases endorphins in your body that give you a boost of positive energy It gets your mind off of the things that are causing you stress It can be as easy as going for a walk outside or playing some football

Laughter “Laughter is the best medicine”
Laughing increases oxygen and blood flow which helps reduce stress Take a break from studying and watch a funny video, or read some jokes
