A north-south cross section of the offshore Talara and southernmost Progreso Basin provinces was marked mainly by terrigenous sedimentation. Thickness of the combined Cretaceous through Tertiary stratigraphic sequences across the coastal basins varies from about 8,500 to 18,000 m (28,000 to 58,000 ft) (Zúñiga-Rivero and Hay-Roe, 1998). Tatarstan Zones promising for discovery of hydrocarbon deposits has been allocated as a result of DNME works. One of the wells was located over the reef, which were considered no-prospect for oil and gas by seismic data. During drilling, the presence of deposits is confirmed. The IP anomaly was identified as a result of DNME works in the geoelectric layer at a depth of 150 m. Siberian platform IP anomalies concerned with deposits of hydrocarbons. The geoelectric properties of basaltic intrusions are high resistivity, but the increase of IP also can happened (A). This, changes of the time constant occurs along with the increase of IP. It allows to separate IP anomalies that are not associated with deposits of hydrocarbons. IP anomalies concerned with dolerite sill (Siberian formation of intrusions). Characteristic changes of the time constant τ in the zone of IP anomalies concerned with deposits of hydrocarbons. 10 Near-field transient EM sounding
Siberian platform H, m The complex of methods, DNME and Near-field transient EM sounding, well has proved. In this complex technique Near-field transient EM sounding allows to more accurately determine the resistivity of various layers of the section, both terrigenous and carbonate deposits. Volgo-Uralskaya anteclise There is artificially filled underground gas reservoir, where gas pipelines and a large number of wells create industrial noise.
