Adolescent Immunization Trivia
Instructions Start the presentation at slide #2. There are five categories: Tdap, HPV, Influenza, Meningococcal, and grab bag. Each category has five questions, ranging from 10 to 50 points. Divide the class into groups. Begin by selecting a question from the board. From the presentation view, you can click on the point value and it will link to the question. Read the question to the class. Once they have answered, click to progress the presentation and the answer will appear. You can click the arrow to return to the game board. The point value on slide #2 will turn gray once it has been used. The group with the correct answer will be awarded that number of points. You will need to keep track of the scores as the game progresses. Continue answering questions until all questions have been asked.

ANSWER: No, these two vaccines, meningococcal conjugate vaccine and MenB protect you from different strains of the disease. The meningococcal conjugate vaccine protects you against four strains (A, C, W, and Y). This vaccine is recommended for all preteens (11-12 years) with a booster dose at 16 years. The MenB vaccine protects you against serogroup B. This vaccine is currently recommended for preteens at risk, or in some outbreak situations. Young adults ages years who are not at risk may choose to receive the MenB vaccine.
