1 THE ONESS OF ALLAH PROF: Caroulin Osman

2 Introduction ALLAH IS ONE AND ONLY
“ALLAH is our God; there is no God but He, He is the Knower of the unseen and the visible; He is the All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate. He is God, there is no God but He. He is the King, the All-Holy, the All-Peace, the Guardian of Faith, the All-Preserver, the All-Mighty, the All-Compeller, the All-Sublime. Glory be to God, above that they associate! He is God the Creator, the Maker, the Shaper. To Him belong the Names Most Beautiful. All that is in the heavens and the earth magnifies Him; He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise." (59:22-24)

4 If the Creator is Eternal and Everlasting, then His attributes must also be eternal and everlasting. He should not lose any of His attributes nor acquire new ones. If this is so, then His attributes are absolute. Can there be more than one Creator with such absolute attributes? Can there be for example, two absolutely powerful Creators? A moment's thought shows that this is not feasible.

5 List them showing the importance of believing in those attributes.
Allah (SWT) has unique and different attributes,

6 God's Attributes Wujud (Existence), Qidaam (Pre-eternity, eternal existence in the past), Baqa (Eternity, immortality), Wahdaniyyah (Oneness, having no partner), Qiyam bi nafsihee (The continuation of His existence stems from nothing but Himself), Affirmative attributes: Hayat (Life) Ilm (Knowledge) Irada (Will) Qoudrah (Power) Samii (Hearing) Baseer (Sight) Kalam (Speech) Takween (Creation, making).

7 Describe believers attitude towards Allah (SWT)

8 The Believer's Attitude
In order to be a Muslim, to surrender oneself to ALLAH, it is necessary to believe in the oneness of God, in the sense of His being the only Creator, Preserver, Nourisher. The Muslim must acknowledge the fact that is ALLAH alone Who deserves to be worshipped, and thus abstains from worshipping any other thing or being. Faith is that condition of belief from which springs forth a multifaceted act of multiplying virtues. This condition brings into bloom a life full of obedience which in turn generates such deeds that even removing a minor obstacle from someone’s path guarantees reward from Allah (SWT). In other words, a Mo’min becomes such an embodiment of nobility that his heart bleeds if some one gets hurt. Such a faith also creates in him the attributes of foresight, prudence, sagacity, sound judgment and understanding. That is why the Holy Qur’an time and again refers to the appealing and overpowering characteristics of a Mo’min to encourage believers to maintain their distinct attribute. I am quoting here some traditions of Prophet (SAW) to refresh the belief, to enliven the mind and to nourish the spirit.

9 By "conditions of La Ilaha Illa Allah" is meant the conditions that a person should know and act in accordance with so that he may be acknowledging the unity of Allah in open and in secret

10 Ways to know that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, are:
First: Most importantly – contemplation of His Names, Attributes and His Actions that manifest His Perfection, Greatness and Honor. These oblige one to make an effort to submit to Him and worship this Perfect Lord unto Whom all praise, glory, greatness and bounty are due. Second: Knowledge that He, the Exalted alone, creates and disposes. So, subsequently, knowledge that He is the only deity worthy of worship. Third: Knowledge that He alone is the Bestower of all gifts (bounties) apparent and concealed, religious and worldly. This would obligate the heart to attach to Him, love and submit to Him alone with no partners.

11 EVIDENCE ON THE ONESS OF ALLAH Who did create the universe
EVIDENCE ON THE ONESS OF ALLAH Who did create the universe? Stretch your mind to show an evidence of the creator.

12 Phenomena and verses Heavens and the solar system: are consisting of communities, each community, has an elaborate system, and all of them are controlled as one system, which refers they emanate from the One and only God , he has no partner in the creation and appreciation, and wisdom. Earth: In its article, shape and different worlds that are formed from inanimate objects, plants and animals, and have merits of various different kinds, evidence of Allah creativity. The alternation of night and day: which means the succession of them, when one comes the other goes, and their differences in length and shortness , in different countries and sites, longitude and the different seasons. In that come the benefits and interests for people, here we can see clearly miracles and functional evidence in the unity of the creator of this system and mercy towards His creatures. Rain and Water: this water keeps earth a life ,occurring plant, and could animal live on earth, this is the first resurrection referred in the Holy Qur’an. The creation of the Mankind: absolutely no one can create such accurate organism .

13 Big Question What would happen if there were more than one God? How would our life be?

14 Allah Is The Creator The evidence that Allah is the only Creator of life may be found in many places in the Qur’an and Sunnah. For example: "Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion, and He is Able to do all things, Who has created death and life, that He may test you which of you is best in deed, and He is the All-Mighty, the Often-Forgiving." [Al-Mulk 67:1-2] Allah challenged all of mankind to create even the most insignificant creature, i.e. a fly, but no one could do that and no one ever will. Allah says: "O mankind! A similitude has been coined, so listen to it (carefully): verily! Those on whom you call besides Allah cannot create (even) a fly, even though they combine together for the purpose. And if the fly snatched away a thing from them, they would have no power to release it from the fly. So weak are (both) the seeker and the sought." [Al-Hajj 22:73]
