8 1 Joshua Phillips Murdered his 8 year old neighbor Maddie Clifton.
Maddie had left her home at 5:30pm to play basketball, but never came back. Joshua claims that he and Maddie were playing baseball when he accidentally hit her with a ball. Maddie started crying, and Joshua claimed he panicked and hit her in the head to make her stop screaming. Joshua then carried Maddie into his house and hid her body under his bed. Joshua’s mother found Maddie ‘s body a week later due to the odor coming from Joshua’s room. His ability to turn over money and profitable investments, i.e. success, earned him the Halo effect by his admirers. It gave him influence. Ergo, many people followed his advice.

25 POINTS TO REMEMBER Stereotyping is Labeling or judging without having enough information to substantiate that judgement as true or dismiss as false. Halo effect is a positive label affixed (to someone or something), without enough information to justify or substantiate the label as true-or dismiss it as being false. A stereotype that imbues favor. Prototype is the model or example deemed acceptable by others, and, the pattern they believe they (company, society, et.al) should follow. All three are can be interdependent of each other. Be aware of FACT versus SUBLIME acquiescence of each of these dispositions. -Ironda Joyce Campbell as given to my students in class
