3 ESU I-4 Route I-4 – Tampa to Orlando
Eastbound Between MM 3 and MM 59 – 56 Miles There are 22 Interchanges Weigh Station will be closed (MM 11) Rest Area will remain open (MM 46) 10 narrow shoulder locations (5 signed)

4 ESU I-4 Route Permanent Flip signs and Portable Changeable Message Signs will be installed Dynamic Message Signs will have a static message unless traffic conditions warrant an incident specific message Four stationary LEO Officers each location) No ramp closures

5 Notification Process

6 EARLY PRE-IMPLEMENTATION (Blue Skies)
Ensure Signs are Installed and PCMS are available Check Shoulder Conditions and Address Issues Vegetation Encroachments Drop Offs Pot Holes Sweep Shoulders Monthly During Hurricane Season Coordinate with Partners (LEO; Local EM; Communications Office) Establish Emergency Transport Team; ERAS Contract Maintain Contacts List

7 IMPLEMENTATION OPERATIONS (Activate)
Deploy Resources Flip Down Signs (east to west) PCMS LEO and Emergency Assistance Vehicles (EAV) Road Rangers and ERAS Contractor Prepare Route Sweep Inside and Outside Shoulders Remove Abandon Vehicles Ride Corridor Coordinate with Partners and Decision Makers (LEO; Local EM; Communications Office; Contractors)

8 POST ESU OPERATIONS (De-Activate)
THE OPERATION WILL TERMINATE PRIOR TO TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS TO ALLOW FOR TRAFFIC ON THE ROADWAY TO CLEAR AND FOR PERSONNEL TO SEEK SHELTER. Demobilize Resources Reset Flip Down Signs Remove/Secure PCMS Demobilize LEO and EAVs Demobilize Road Rangers and ERAS Contractor Ride Corridor Coordinate with Partners and Decision Makers (LEO; Local EM; Communications Office; Contractors)

9 MOTORIST SUPPORT Road Ranger Services FHP Wrecker Rotation
Emergency Roadside Assistance Services (ERAS) Anticipated contract execution August 2017 Assist motorists with minor repairs and fuel Move inoperable vehicles by pushing or tow vehicles to roadside or staging areas Dispatch will be done via the Traffic Management Center
