1999 – SPEEA members vote to affiliates with IFPTE, change name to Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace, Local 2001

2000 – 40-day strike by Puget Sound Profs and Techs at Boeing
Wichita members were major supporters of and donors to striking SPEEA members during the strike through SPEEA Cares
Settlement includes Working Together Partnership Agreement
WTPU joins SPEEA
Largest successful organizing drive in the U.S. in 30 years
2001 – new logo

2003 – Boeing sells Spokane plant to Triumph Composite Systems – SPEEA continues representation at new company
2004 – WTPU votes for recertification, approves 4-year contract
2005 – BCA Wichita becomes Spirit AeroSystems – SPEEA continues to represent employees at new company
2008 – Ray Goforth named Executive Director
