5 TTUHSC TITLE IX Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972
“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.” Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a federal law intended to end sex discrimination in all areas of education. Applies to non-discrimination based on gender to all recipients of federal funds, both public and private institutions. Applies to issues of program equity, such as in athletics, and also to sexual harassment and sexual assault. 7 Disabilities Services
TTUHSC OP 77.14 TTUHSC complies with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504 Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and state and local requirements regarding students with disabilities. A student must register with the Office of Student Services and file appropriate documentation in order to be eligible for any disability benefits and services described in this operating policy.

Health Insurance is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for all students to cover major medical, emergency care, specialty care, and pharmacy as these services can be expensive. Students must be enrolled in 1 or more credit hours to be eligible for Academic Health Plans. Specific enrollment times for each coverage period. TTUHSC dedicated Customer Care line –

Vet center West texas - Lubbock, Amarillo, midland/odessa Vet Centers serve veterans and their families. The program was established by Congress in 1979 out of recognition that a significant number of Vietnam veterans were still experiencing readjustment problems.
