MGX FY11 10/29/2017 NC Statewide Adoption of ITA Program ‘Every NC public school student will graduate from high school, globally competitive for work and post-secondary education, and prepared for life in the 21st century’. NC State Board of Education NC was the first state in the nation to adopt ITA for all state high schools ITA will be rolled out in each of the 628 NC high schools in the 2011/2012 school year ITA curriculum & certification is integrated in CTE curriculum as well as other programs across NC high schools State-wide agreement for all 628 high schools Three-year agreement touching every district and high school – equality of access Program begins with Information Worker (MOS certifications) across curriculum Some early adopters and high-tech high schools (Guilford County being an example) will roll out more advanced technical curricula and certifications (Win7 IT Pro, MS Server 2008) Paid by DPI (Department of Public Instruction) MSFT V-team engaged with Lt. Governor and Secretary of Education for support Will be mandatory curriculum for their CTE (Career and Technical and Education) courses.
