3 Family Mark Twain was a great American writer, and he was also a famous speaker. Date:Nov.30,1835 Place: Florida Sixth child in seven children Mother: died when he was 4 Father: poor lawyer, died of pneumonia when he was 11 Among his brothers and sisters, only two survived.

4 Early Life Experience At 13, he stopped schooling and became a full-time apprentice to a printer. At 18, he left Hannibal and worked as a printer in New York city. At 22, a steamboat pilot on the Misssissippi.

5 In His Middle Ages By 1990, become American celebrity. Reporter were anxious to print a new quip from the famous humorist.

6 His Later Life Tragic events in his later life: The failure of his investments, his fatiguing travels and lectures in order to pay off his debts, The death of his wife and two daughters which left him absolutely inconsolable.

7 His Death He was died of illness on April 21,1910.
By then, he had become a proud possession of the American nation.
