3 June 19, 1623 Born in Clermont- Ferrand, France Son of Etienne Pascal
Mother passes away in 1626

4 1631 Father decided to move all children to Paris
2 sister Gillberte Jacqueline Only son Blaise starts to show interest in mathematics.

5 1635 Close to his early teen years he shows special interest in Geometry Father did not want to teach mathematics, but did buy a book which would help Pascal learn Geometry. Started at a Mathematical Academy

6 1637 Marin Mersenne He would host meetings to review the research of scientist and mathematicians. Blaise attended these meetings with his father

7 1639 Marin Mersenne His father was appointed tax collector
Attended meetings for 2 years. Projective Geometry was presented by Pascal His father was appointed tax collector Rouen Sisters act in plays

8 1640 Published his essay on conics Created the mystic hexagram

9 1642 First Digital Calculator was created
Credit goes to not only Pascal but his Father as well. This calculator was used only for 3 years and finished use in 1645.

10 1646 His father had gotten injured
Cared for by his daughters and Jansenists Jansenists helped the family see the religious side of life. Family becomes very involved in Christianity.

Visited Pascal to hear about his Vacuum theory Descartes believed Pascal was wrong and they argued for some time about it. Atmospheric pressure Function of barometer
