22 Challenges Geographic area of the center and the number of schools in the service area. Budget for this large center does not allow for a full time director ISD Consultants have many additional responsibilities Turn-over in each ISD and region can present challenges Conducting a Needs Assessment has been a Challenge Community Involvement Bay STEM Hub; MSU; Large constituent base hard to know everyone and accommodate needs. They are doing many, many things on their own outside of center Needs are identified by the leadership teams within each ISD

23 Self-Assessment Checklist
Areas of Strength: Maximizing the budget to support teacher professional learning and student programs across the area ISD Consultants in STEM areas to support curriculum, instruction, and assessment Areas of Challenge: Conducting a Valid Needs Assessment Communication across such a large area Community Involvement Meeting the Needs of All Constituents

24 Strategic Plan Addressing the Challenges:
Creating a quarterly Newsletter Build a web/social media presence Collaborating with ISD Ambassadors to communicate and build relationships within their respective areas Partner with STEM Hub, MSU, and additional partners that will support the CASM Strategic Plan
